The company behind GLM was established in China in June 2019 by a team with roots at Tsinghua University, and its founders include Liu Debing, Zhang Peng, Li Juanzi, Tang Jie, Xu Bin and Wang Shaolan.1, 3
Its core technology team has a long-standing partnership with the Knowledge Engineering Group at Tsinghua University, which has worked on the GLM framework since 2018.1
