Apodex

Apodex is an AI company with a Redwood City, California address that says its technology is developed in the United States and Singapore.^1, 2, 3

It is credited to its founder Tianqiao Chen, who also founded the Chinese online-gaming group Shanda.^{2, 5, 6, 7}

The company explains that its name comes from the Greek term for a proof reached through rigorous reasoning.³

It states its ultimate mission as solving the hardest problems for science and industries.³

Apodex-1.0, a deep-research model, was released on 8 June 2026 and is described by the company as its first step.^3, 4

In heavy-duty mode, Apodex-1.0 runs as an agent team that can coordinate up to 150 sub-agents over 15,000 steps in a single task.⁴

The company also published open mini models under the Apache 2.0 license, post-trained from Qwen3.5 base models.^4, 8, 9

On 21 July 2026 it launched the Apodex Frontier Program, which gives selected research institutions, academic labs and deep-tech startups compute credits and engineering support.²

Apodex 1.1 was published on 24 August 2026 together with an online workbench and a locally deployable 35B mini model.¹²

The product line is organized into three tiers, Deep Research, Deep Solve and Deep Discover, the last of which is offered only through the Frontier Program.¹³

The Apodex API is OpenAI-compatible and gives access to the apodex-1.1 and apodex-1.1-mini models, under commercial terms governed by Delaware law.^{1, 10, 11, 14}
